Brady had spent the last few days with Hailey Black, he'd actually come to quite like the girl, and had at least started to become good friends with her. He found he liked spending time with her, it wasn't anything like an imprint, but then again he was 14, what would he know about feeling's that strong? But it was just having a friend, a comfortable, relaxed thing with someone that wasn't his brother or his pack members, it made a nice change to be around someone who's secrets he didn't already know all about - In great detail.

He had always been one of the younger pack members, and an incredibly relaxed, carefree boy. Though with all the patrols Sam kept handing out and the increase in pressure on the Uley pack to keep the rez safe after Jacob decided to split off, he'd been kind of... Well stressed. That would be the only word he could think to describe it. He was too young to be stressed, it wasn't something he enjoyed.

Sitting on the edge of the cliff, he looked over into the water down below. He'd brought a picnic basket with him filled with sandwiches, chocolate and his mom's famous butter cookies, it'd be sunset soon. He always did love the sunset especially up here, in the La Push cliffs you could see everything around for miles. Who wouldn't love that? Besides, Hails was new to town, he had to show her this, he knew she'd love it. He sat patiently, legs hanging over the edge, hair down and sort of scruffy because he hadn't sorted it out after running through the forest, a calm smile crept across his face.

This was how it should be at his age, right now - He just didn't care about what he was supposed to be responsible for.

Allison was new to Jacob Black's pack, which meant that she wasn't very close with Sam's. She hadn't really even met any of them before, aside form Kim who was Jared's imprint. She seemed nice, from what Allison had taken from their brief encounter.

She wasn't supposed to be in La Push, this was her second time going against the pack's wishes. Sam's was to protect La Push while Jacob's protected Forks -- only because the vampires he allied with lived there. Apparently that was the cause for all of the drama between both he and Sam.

Another wolf, a young one like herself was present, which only encouraged her to bend Jacob's little rules once again.

Plopping down beside hi on the edge of the cliff, she offered him a warm smile, boldly holding her hand out. She truly saw the good in just about everyone, enemy pack or not. The hadn't harmed her in any way so she wouldn't do so just because her alpha had a problem with them.

"Hi! I'm Allison. Do you hang out here a lot?" Here, was pretty beautiful, she had to admit. A gorgeous beach, gorgeous cliffs... She could happily live here and not want nor require anything else. It was truly that peaceful.

With a smile on her face and a bounce in her step Hailey made her way up the pathway that lead to the diving cliffs. Her converse sneakers scuffed against the dirt and her dark hair moved slightly in the soft ocean breeze.

She was supposed to be meeting Brady Dupont. She had met him a few days after her arrival to La Push and had become fast friends with the boy. He was incredibly tall like the rest of the boys in La Push, though unlike the other few she'd met she found Brady quite attractive in his own boyish way.

The past couple of days Hailey had been spending almost all of her time with him when she wasn't busy with her uncle, aunt, or grandfather. They still didn't know each other very well, but they definitely enjoyed each others company. And whilst Hailey adored her family once she'd met them, it was nice to have one friend.

She still hadn't quite spoken to her grandfather about the things that she wanted to ask him when she'd first come. After she'd actually met her family she had made the decision to put off the discussion, deciding that this was her chance to start fresh where nobody knew her. Of course she was supposed to go back home after a while...as was the deal worked out with her mother after she had called flipping out.

Though Hailey wasn't sure she wanted to go back to Hawaii. If she had it her way, she'd stay in La Push for the rest of her life. It was absolutely breath taking and her aunt, uncle, and grandpa who she utterly adored were here. Though she did miss her mother, being only thirteen she simply wished her mother would move back to Forks rather than requiring Hailey to come back to Hawaii after a certain amount of time.

The sound of a feminine voice brought the brunette out of her thoughts and she lifted her dark brown orbs from her feet. As her eyes fell on the back of Brady's head a small smile crept onto her features. "Hey Brady." She also noticed a female, likely the one the voice belonged to. Reaching up to push a few tendrils of hair behind her ear she took a few steps forward.

Kicking softly at a small rock in her path before hesitantly making her way over to the boy, She took note of the picnic basket he'd brought along and her smile became more genuine than forced as she sat herself down on the other side of the boy. Her eyes looking up at him before moving to linger on the other girl.

"Hi." She was pretty sure nobody here really knew her so she saw it impolite not to introduce herself. "I'm Hailey Black." she murmured. "This is Brady." she told the girl, as she wrapped a single arm around the boy in a half-way hug. "You new around here as well?"

Brady watched the girl approach, he was about to stand up when she sat down beside him. He hadn't met her before, he guessed she was probably new around here, or in Jacob Black's pack. He missed a lot of his friends when the two packs had split, namely Seth and Jacob. He'd been friends with Seth and Jacob. Quil was a nice kid and everything but he'd never spent a whole bunch of time with him. Seth was closer to Brady's age group. But, in the Uley pack, he had his brothers and so he couldn't complain.

He smiled as she introduced herself, reclining back on his elbows so that he was mostly looking out over the ocean as the sun began to sink below the horizon, the sky was turning a lovely shade of reddish pink, it always did look best here. But then, you could see everything for miles from this very point so that wasn't all too surprising.

He sat up again as Hailey joined the two of them just as he was about to answer Allison and introduce herself in return. "Oh, hey Hails." he smiled to his friend before looking back at Allison as Hailey introduced herself then Brady, lifting a hand in a small wave "Hey." he looked back at Hailey as she gave him a small hug, she was quite friendly, quite sweet. It was nice to meet someone that was as new to La Push as she was that seemed to understand their way of life. "I hang out here all the time, are you new?" he asked, speaking to Allison. He quite liked to meet new people, especially new wolves. And from what he could tell, she was just like he is.

A small smile lit up Hailey's face as Brady greeted her with a smile of his own and a shortening of her name. Moving her dark brown eyes away from Brady and the girl, she gazed out over the cliff tops and fell completely in love with the view.

The sky was slowly becoming shades of pinkish red with a little bit of an orangey color mixed in. A few fluffy clouds spotted the sky as well, and to Hailey it seemed that perhaps the spirits that were watching over them had decided to paint for them, gracing them with a simple beauty to make every other complicated and hectic piece of life utterly and completely worth it.

"My mom used to tell me when I was little, that there were spirits in the sky. She always said they were watching over us, and every time we saw a little piece of something beautiful, it was their way of showing us that no matter how hard life gets, there's always a little piece of simplicity to enjoy right around the corner."

A small smile was present on her features and her voice was soft, almost silent. "It's like they're showing us that in that one moment everything is going to be okay. The simplicity of it all, is just so beautiful and peaceful.... It's like they've given us a little piece of heaven ." Dropping her gaze, to examine the beautiful ocean below them she let a soft sigh of content pass over her soft lips.

After what felt like a few eternal moments, she lifted her gaze back up to Brady, offering him another half hug. "It's amazing." Dropping her arm back into her lap she let her eyes drift toward the other female on the other side of Brady. "I'd make the assumption that if you haven't met her yet she must be new. Although I'm incredibly new myself, so if she isn't new, that would be plain embarrassing."

Brady sat somewhat quietly, just watching the sky turn darker and darker as the sun began to disappear completely as he listened to Hailey's story. He had been told a lot of things that sounded very similar by his grandfather when he was younger, the memory of being the small boy sat on the floor at the elderly man's feet flooding his mind and provoking an uncontrollable smile. It was nice to know someone still held the old school beliefs. "I think your mom was right. The spirits of those who've been here before us are always with us." he gave a small nod and smiled.

Reclining back on his arms again, he allowed a quiet moment to pass between the small group as he played through memories in his mind, his grandfather and he had always been incredibly close. In fact Brady made a point of visiting the man almost every day. But he still missed being that carefree child who wanted nothing more than to hear more of the old stories the tribe elders used to tell. "It's like their way of showing us that life's beautiful, right? Though we can't always see it, it's always there?" he asked in a quiet voice, still staring absent mindedly out over the ocean.

He gave a small smile as Hailey offered him another half hug, he and the girl had become fast friends, something Brady was quite thankful for. He needed more friends and less obligations. He cocked his head to the side for a second as she began to talk about Allison, inquiring to his assumption that the girl was new around here, though he felt pretty certain he was right because he hadn't seen her around before, Though that was hardly surprising actually. "Nah, It's all good." he smiled, he didn't really mean any offense by assuming the girl must be new "Hey, Sorry. I didn't mean to make assumptions."

Allison cocked an eyebrow as the brunette that joined the two decided to speak on behalf of Brady, even going as far as to introduce him for him. Allison hadn't been born here, but she had grown up close by, it wasn't a common thing for someone to do. At least not that she was aware of.

She didn't bother to interrupt as they continued talking as if she wasn't there, biting on her bottom lip gently as she glanced down over the cliffs. She had seen a few guys jumping from them a few days ago, and though it wasn't something she was normally interested in doing, she knew once the weather (and water) warmed up, she'd be doing it as well.

Glancing to Brady as he spoke, she offered him a polite smile and a small shrug of her shoulders. "No, not new." She couldn't really remember how long she had been living here, though she couldn't blame them for assuming she was new. being home schooled by an adoptive control freak certainly made any chance of the slightest bit of popularity fade.

"I live in Forks. My parents lived in La Push years ago before they moved but... they died. I lucked out when I was sent to a home in Forks, I guess."

Wrapping her sweater tighter around her small body, she shrugged her shoulders casually. "I'm home schooled, so up until recently I haven't been out much." After exploding into a wolf, she had a few questions and stumbled upon Jacob Black who seemed to answer them flawlessly.
