We do not discriminate against anyone under the age of thirteen years old, though we expect our members to at least exceed that age limit. This is due to mature subject matter that may end up in some of our website threads.
2) As a mature website, we do require any/all posts to have a minimum of 100 words, with a maximum of 1000 words. These limitations are set due to the vast majority of people that use "one liners" (only one sentence) to reply to other members posts. This word limitation does not count for C-box usage, Private Messages, or OOC (Out Of Character) messaging.
3) Because this website is being used by those over the age of thirteen, there are allowances to mature subject matter. Profanities (curse words, insults, etc...) are allowed on this website, we do not limit freedom of speech. Racial slurs are severely discouraged, and in no way do we encourage your character using them, however, in some instances you may find a character using a racial term. We do not mind seeing this as long as its within taste, and its clear that the racial term being used is for role playing purposes only. We do not want to see any OOC racism, sexism, or any other kind of "ism," nor do we want to see the excessive use of such "isms." Please, use your common sense in this regard.
4) The other type of mature subject matter that you may encounter during your stay on this website is of the sexual variety. Sexual role playing is allowed, as long as its not the only thing youre doing on this website. In life, people do have sex, they discuss sex, they watch sex on television. We are not going to limit characters to PG13 love scenes, but if you are going to engage in a BTB (Below The Belt) role play, We do expect you at the end of your thread topic to include "BTB" to let others know that your thread does contain graphic sexuality.
5) The C-box is the small chat box displayed on each page of the website. You can speak freely here, OOC. (Please do not speak in character, it will honestly annoy a lot of people that are trying to have civilized conversations.) As said, this is a mature role playing website, and as a result, we expect everyone to act maturely should they see a swear word or sexual reference. There should be no cybering in the C-box at any time, under any circumstance. There is also to be no advertising in the C-Box for other websites. (External links to Youtube, Photobucket and various websites of the sort are acceptable, links to other role playing sites are prohibited). This also includes posting our website link on other peoples C-Boxes.
6) There is to be no god moding. This means that you are forbidden to manipulate another persons character in your post. Do not make up things for another character to say, do not make them do any action that the other character has not performed, do not kill off any character without their consent. If a character wishes to be killed off, they must first speak with an Admin member.
7) Should a member have to take a leave of absence for exams, vacation or any other reasons excluding groundings or emergencies, we expect them to fill out a small post for the Admin to file, and so that the other members know you will not be able to post. Your threads will then be locked until the character comes back (unless your character leaves the thread).
8) There is to be no advertising for other websites in any of the threads. There will be a specific board for this under OOC that will be designed for advertising. If we see any member advertising in any other board, they will feel our Adminny wrath..
9) There will be no stealing anyones photographs, icons, banners, signatures, graphics, poetry, or any other sort of personal material on this website. It is copy righted, by law, to that person and if you are caught stealing it, you will be punished. If you wish to use anyones content, be it from BSF.com or an external site, please ensure you have permission to do so. Generally, this excludes icons, banners, signatures and graphics from communities which provide such material for your personal use. Still, we would feel much more comfortable if you have ensured that your use of such material is acceptable by their respective owners beforehand.
10) Activity checks will happen monthly. You will be notified consistently for one week to simply post your name, your characters name, your user name and a link to your last post. This is to get rid of any accounts that are not being used. If you fail to comply, you risk losing your account and all of your threads so please pay attention. (This does not apply to Admin members, or anyone that filed an absence).
