PLOT WITH august
The last thing on Earth that August had ever expected was to land an acting role on a television series, let alone a role as the female lead of an upcoming television series based on the extremely successful Scream franchise. Truthfully, August had simply thought that auditioning for the role with her University roommate would be fun. She would audition for the hell of it, and her friend would audition and land the part with August's cheering support... but that wasn't what had happened, was it?

When August had received a call back but her friend Cass hadn't, it hadn't initially caused much in the way of tension. Cass had seemed to be thrilled for her redheaded roommate, but as things truly began to progress, her relationship with Cass had definitely taken a turn for the worst.

The time had come for August to begin tasting what it was like to be a hired actress. Wardrobe fittings, make up testing, screen tests, nights spent running her lines instead of hanging out with her friends as she approached the filming of the first episode of the series. Little by little, Cass had lost interest in supporting August through this adventure, and August had been left to brave it alone.

Most everything had been done alone; she hadn't really had much time to get to know any of the other actors or actresses on-set; no one had shot any scenes together and there hadn't really been a mixer or team-bonding exercise to at least introduce everyone to each other... Hollywood was straight to the point and spared no second, as seconds meant money...

Production had managed to pay the owner of Thornhill to allow a story-line for the first episode to be filmed on the massive property. A set of scenes that depicted a party out in the middle of nowhere that would introduce some of the characters in the series' pilot, August's included.

Most of her evening had been spent squirrelled away in her trailer; all of the trailers were parked on one area of the acres upon acres of land, to ensure they wouldn't be seen in any of the shots. That, of course, meant hiking through fields of grass to get to the main house where most of the scenes were being shot, but the fifteen minutes it had taken to go from point A to point B had at least offered some fresh air.

Almost all of August's scenes were being filmed inside; the party in question was meant to be taking place in the same house that the party massacre had taken place at in the first Scream movie. In between takes, there was water and snacks available to the actors, actresses and extras; between the singing, screaming and dancing, everyone was needing to stay hydrated and energized, August included.

Popping a sliced cube of watermelon in her mouth, the music around them stayed on cue, playing and replaying songs like "Mr. Saxobeat' by Alexandra Stan, and 'Satisfaction' by Benny Benassi on repeat. It kept the mood on point, almost like it were a real party, to ensure anyone not currently filming stayed in character.

For a while, the redhead had shot her own scenes, and when she wasn't needed in front of the camera, stayed fairly close by so she could be around for background shots or merely to watch others filming their own shots. This, however, was one of the rare instances when August had actually branched out away from the hustle and bustle of it all to entertain the craft services table that had been provided.
